Basketball is a beloved pastime in my culture; it feels like physical poetry performed in a communal, celebratory way, and reminds me of gatherings in Yup’ik culture. As an Indigenous crafts person I identify with the way WNBA players are treated by society: undervalued and overlooked beside mainstream colleagues.
